Mashad Nishapur OMAR KHAYYAM TOMB Nishapur is the town of the famous poet, Omar Khayyam. He was born in about 1047. Tomb of Omar Khayam The dome of the tomb is in a high drum with blue tiles and white interior. The tombstone of Omar Khayyam is simple but very nice garden surrounding it. Khayyam means "tentmaker."
