Orumiye Lake
- Lake Orumiye is a salt lake with an area of approximately expanding to 6100 square kilometers is the largest lake in Iran and has a maximum depth of 16 m (52 ft).
- It forms an interior drainage basin that receives water from the mountains but has no outlet.

- The salts of the lake are believed to have therapeutic benefits especially for rheumatisms. Ferry service links Sharifkhaneh and Gelemkhaneh. The lake area is undeveloped with a few ports, hotels and spa resorts.
- On the second largest island in the lake called Kabudi, there is a small village. On Kabudi, you will find many different birds including flamingo and pelicans. On the small volcanic islands, leopards are common. Because it is a conservation area, foreigners need a special permit to visit the island.
