East Azarbaijan Arg-e Tabriz Near Azarbaijan Museum along the same street is the citadel or Arg-e Tabriz. . This citadel dates back to 14th century, to the Mongol invasion. This brick citadel has two solid towers and a wall on the site of a huge mosque which crashed few centuries ago. It is said that in earlier times criminals were thrown down from the top of Arg to a ditch below.
